Pumpkin and Roses Cake- Cake Decorating- video

Holiday Season is a tricky cake season. It's always hard to decide whether or not to make Holiday Designs for non Holiday events during the season.  I think this design is a great option for the months of October and November. This is a small cake that makes a nice center piece for a dinner party, or is pretty enough for a Holiday Season Birthday. This Cake is made with a" Pumpkin Pie" Cake, so when it's cut, even the aroma says "FALL"
This Tutorial will show you how to make this pretty Pumpkin and giant piped Roses in Buttercream!

Yummy Bat Cake Pops- Cake Decorating

Kids will love this design because it has wings! The cake pops are a delicious combo of Marshmallow, chocolate chips and cake! When melted together this makes a dough almost the consistency of Play Dough. Then it's dipped in Black Candy Melt. The wings are also Black Candy Melt. See how to put it all together here:

Ghost and Spider Halloween Cake- Butteer Cream- Cake Decorating

What a Fun Halloween Design! I had a blast making this one, which after this many years of Decorating is really saying something! Just the look on both character's faces cracked me up!

The Spider is made from a Cake Pop Dipped in Candy Melt and Coconut and the Spider Web is  also Black Candy Melt.

To achieve the Draped Effect I utilized Giant Marshmallows around the base of my tower of 6 inch rounds. I love the effect! See the whole construction here:

Piped Pumpkin Head Tutorial

Pretty Pumpkin head is a fun to make Holiday cake. She is made of three 8" layers and two marshmallows for the stem. The leaves are made with a #124 rose tip and the eyes with a coupler opening. I used piping gel for the black accents. This can be altered for a boy by leaving off the eyelashes and lips.
By leaving off the face all together and adding fall colored mums around the stems, you have a beautiful center piece for an Autumn feast.

Zombie Barbie Doll Cake- Cake Decorating- Tutorial

Learn how to make a quick and fun Zombie Barbie In this fun                                                   Tutorial Video

http://youtu.be/3-GliJ57qrA
More fun with Barbie! Even though I am not really a big Zombie fan, I thought this would be a lot of fun and it was! I wanted it to look like Barbie was coming up out of a graveyard . I used a quick icer tip with a bag striped with green and brown. I created ledges with it to place the tombstones in. The Tombstones are made of royal icing. I used some crushed Oreo for the dirt and coconut for the grass.

I used a "Ken" shirt and cut it up and burnt parts of it. Then I used some food coloring to "dirty" it further.

I "zombied" her face with some eyeliner and red food coloring. Her hair is full of eye shadow, food coloring and hairspray. It was a fun experiment and my zombie fans love it:)
