Tire Cake in Buttercream- Cake Decorating- How To
This cake was tough to make! Not because of the skill involved, but because of the shear agony of destroying a perfectly good Wedding Cake! Every decorator knows that a large sigh of relief when all of the borders and flowers are perfectly placed on a cake, especially one the size of a Wedding Cake. This design calls for chocolate meant to look like mug to be splattered all over the side of the cake. For any decorator the act of splattering anything all over a newly finished Wedding Cake is horrifying!
In the end this is a fun design! It's great to say you've done at least once. The tire part of this design is really cool and can be done quickly without the use of fondant. It would be a great design for a boys birthday cake with the addition of some hot wheels. Any car lover would enjoy this design as well.
