Holiday Yule Log with Poinsettia

A Yule Log Cake makes a great Holiday table  center piece as well as a delicious dessert. This cake was made in a tube pan but could be easily made with a Jelly Roll recipe. The stumps are made with marshmallows and the leaves are 3D made with card stock. A Piped on Poinsettia will definitely impress your Holiday guests.

I always love to see You Tube friend, Anita's, gorgeous interpretations of these designs. She combined the poinsettia with the Decadent Chocolate Cake for her daughters birthday. I love the pooling of the ganache at the border, it really adds to the richness of the look of this cake. Once again BRAVA Anita!
